May I ask how you made the surface that the cubes are resting on?
And also, how did you get such realistic lighting (reflections especially). I mean, it looks like there actually sitting on a kitchen counter.

the reflections are generated by using a hdri, there are a lot of tutorials here on DA.
the floor i just added some reflective properties and a colour to it nothing special really

I like it...

There is a bit too much light...

i did lighten it a little in photoshop. probably should have left it as was?

No, hmm how to explain what I am wanting to explain...

The light off of the side of the center left cube is a bit 'harsh' for the overall lighting showing across the rest of the scene... does that make more sense??

it was caused by the hdri, it is something i am still figuring out as far as render settings and such

The realism in the lighting is stunning! I would love to see this on a 40" screen, myself.

it is amazing what hdri's and GI can do for the simplest of models.

Epic! There's a bit of anti-aliasing issues, especially in the reflections... Might I suggest rendering it a bit larger than you intend(I tend to do twice what I want the image size to be.) and then scaling it down? It usually helps. :)

Otherwise, it's pretty good! :D
